For two weeks in summer 2015, Radebaugh will immerse himself in the landscape and seascape of the Arctic. He will travel to Whitehorse, Yukon; drive the Dempster Highway; ferry across the Peel and Mackenzie Rivers; and cross the Arctic Circle to Inuvik, Northwest Territories. By boat, he will reach the Arctic Ocean. While at the Arctic he will study, draw, and photograph and return to his studio in New Mexico to paint images of this region—the northern most point of the Interior Plains of Canada. Paintings from this excursion will be exhibited at the Harwood Art Center in 2016, among other venues.
